Lisa Ganfield OTR/L, CHT

Lisa has been a licensed Occupational Therapist since 1982 and a Certified Hand Therapist since 1991. While on staff as a therapist in Chicago, she injured her back and needed a therapist for nine months. Her first six months of traditional therapy left her with constant back spasms and sciatica.  It was in her quest of searching for the most effective treatment for herself that she became familiar with the John Barnes Myofascial Release. With this treatment followed by reconditioning, she was able to return to work and resolved to take the courses needed to help others in acute and chronic pain.

Lisa has completed all of the John F. Barnes MFR courses, beginning in 1989. She has taken most multiple times and has been a Senior Instructor for the MFR Seminars and Treatment Centers since 2004.

In addition to the MFR courses, Lisa has taken and treats using John Upledger, D.O. Cranial Sacral I and II and the first three levels of Visceral Manipulation, as well as Neuromanipulation. This hands-on form of releasing the organs is a welcome addition to the roster of therapies offered. She has taken Lymphatic Drainage 1, and has also has further advanced her dialoging skills with Upledger's HCT 1 and HCT 2 and is a certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner.

The staff at Ganfield Therapeutics is highly knowledgable in the MFR and Craniosacral Techniques. In conjunction with traditional PT/OT treatment, she feels, "MFR is the missing link to successful outcomes."

Lisa treats clients three days a week.
